I Don't Think I Like It

I was excited to here that Vogue Knitting Magazine was coming to the iPad, so excited that bought it. A magazine that I have had a subscription to in the past was becoming mobile... A huge space saver right???. Patterns right there in your purse or knitting bag anytime you want, right??? The app from iTunes is free and magazine downloads are only $4.99. Once I downloaded the magazine I quickly noticed that certain pages would not open. I waited for the thinking circle thing to finish circling but had no luck. I thought to myself.. I Don't Think I Like It. No matter how many times I came back to the magazine, or how long I waited for the circle... page 2 ( along with a few others) would not open. Will I ever know what is on that page Grrhhh! I guess I could just buy it from the store but then that defeats the purpose of the above mentioned perks. So I waisted $4.99 I wasn't going to download the next issue. Until..... Until there was an update for the app about a month later. After updating the app works GREAT and I did download the newest issue :) You never know with apps if they are worth it the consumer takes the risk. I'm just glad that Vogue Knitting worked out the kinks. They even fixed the printing problem that other customers had complaints about.

Quick chevron scarf update: I made a little progress and here are the pix, hope you like them. The yarn is from Blue Moon Fiber Arts : Socks that Rock Medium weight.
Two colors are used alternating every two rows with Watermelon Tourmaline and Farmhouse. I am using size 5 straight Brittney Birch needles.
Until next time, Thanks for stopping by

There's no place like home

Sometimes there is just no place like home. I should have know that when my nine year old daughter tossed her cookies Thursday night that sickness was not to far behind. I am the queen of catching someone else's cold and putting my own spin on it.
I was at the Color Connections Creative Tour at the Mission Inn in Riverside and it hit me. I don't know what brought it on but it came at the worst time a lovely stuffy nose, nashua, asthma invasion. My husband came to get me and I kept thinking there is no place like home. I am feeling better today still a little off some coughing but inhaler. Even though I missed out on some crafting girl goodness I was thankful that I lived close by.
On the upside...If you haven't heard of Color Connections Creative Tour it's
an event hosted by Prima Marketing , Tattered Angels, and Pink Paislee and let me say SQUEAL!! The product at this event was unbelievable and the setting of the Mission Inn was breathtaking. If this event is coming your way I would recommend it. Oh and don't cry for me Argentina ... I was able to pick up the class kits for the classes missed on day two. While I was there all the instructors were were very informative and I learned some new techniques :)
One of the good things about not feeling well ( if you had to pick one) is KNITTING. You don't have to leave the bed or a comfy position to do it . So while I wasn't feeling well I finished knitting my monster for my monster swap and started on a chevron scarf to sell in my store:) I will post pictures of my progress when there is enough rows to show.
Thanks for stopping by until next time...

ACCOMPLISHMENT

I have done it!!!
I finally made and published a blog. For some people this is a no-brainer but for me I have been trying for months, and months, and months and months to get my blog to look just the right way. If you ask my teenagers they will tell you I drove them crazy asking them for blog help. This was not successful but last night at 11:40pm I found on Etsy Erin Bradley Designs www.erinbradleydesigns.com . Her graphics were just the right match, feel, and color i needed. There is still some tweaking I have to do but I can figure how to add more bells and whistles later. I am over the moon and can't wait share more.
Til next time.
